Sansevieria, or the mother-in-law's Tongue/ snake plant as it's commonly known, is a truly remarkable and striking easy care houseplant. They seem to be indestructible house plants that never seem to die, need fertilizer or water.

• Thrives best in filtered bright indirect light, but is very tolerant of partial shade. Please note that variegation loss may occur if the plant stays in too dark a place for too long.

• Allow soil to dry out completely before watering deeply. This is one plant which cannot handle over-watering!
• Always ensure that any excess water is able to drain away completely, lest the plant suffer from root-rot.
